MFBDerrick Henry rushes for 112 yards and a score while Reggie Ragland leads defense with five tackles

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama football team held its first scrimmage of the spring Friday afternoon inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The scrimmage lasted roughly 125 plays and was just over two hours under sunny skies and temperatures in the low-80s. The Crimson Tide will take Easter weekend off before returning to practice on Monday afternoon.

Derrick Henry led the offensive attack with 112 yards rushing on 11 carries with a 68 yard touchdown run. Bo Scarbrough added 36 yards on the ground and punched in two touchdowns while also catching three passes out of the backfield.

Junior Raheem Falkins led the receivers with 88 yards on five receptions while ArDarius Stewart caught three passes for 65 yards and a score. O.J. Howard got in the action at tight end with two catches for 58 yards, including a 50 yard touchdown reception while Robert Foster added three grabs for 52 yards.

Senior linebacker Reggie Ragland paced an active Alabama defense with five tackles, one tackle for loss, three pass breakups and a fumble recovery. A’Shawn Robinson intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown while making three tackles with a tackle for loss. Dalvin Tomlinson added four stops with a fumble recovery and a pass breakup.

Alabama’s 2015 Golden Flake A-Day Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m. (CDT) inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The A-Day Game is once again free to the public and will be broadcast on SEC Network + with Joe Tessitore calling the action, Greg McElroy as the analyst and Shannon Spake reporting from the sidelines.
