The Crimson Tide and Trojans will meet for the first time since 1985 at the Advocare Classic on Sept. 3 in Arlington
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Kickoff for Alabama’s game with Southern California has been set for 7 p.m. (CDT) on Saturday, September 3, in the Advocare Kickoff Classic inside AT&T Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on ABC.
It will be the first meeting between the Crimson Tide and Trojans since the 1985 Aloha Bowl, which Alabama won 24-3. The Tide own a 5-2 edge in the series that was first played on September 24, 1938.
This marks the second straight year, and the third time since 2012, the Crimson Tide have opened its season in the Advocare Kickoff Classic at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Alabama defeated Michigan 42-14 in 2012 and knocked off Wisconsin 35-17 last season.
