The Crimson Tide will head to Athens on Saturday for the Tide’s first true road contest of 2015

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama wrapped up its week of full practices on Thursday afternoon, putting together a 90-minute session focused on fine-tuning the gameplan for this Saturday’s matchup in Athens with the No. 8/6 Georgia Bulldogs. The Crimson Tide suited up in shells and moved inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility for the week’s final practice.

Alabama will use Friday to travel to Georgia for this Saturday’s 2:39 p.m. CT kickoff inside Sanford Stadium in Athens. The matchup will be the Tide’s first of the season on CBS, with Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Allie LaForce covering the action. The two teams will meet for the 67th time in a series that began in 1895. Alabama owns the all-time advantage, 37-25-4, including a 14-10 mark in Athens. The last meeting between the two teams came in the 2012 SEC Championship Game, with the Crimson Tide claiming its 23rd conference title following a 32-28 win over the Bulldogs.

Following this weekend’s matchup, Alabama will return home to Tuscaloosa and play host to Arkansas. The Crimson Tide and Razorbacks are scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT kickoff inside Bryant-Denny Stadium with the game airing on ESPN. Alabama owns the all-time advantage, 15-8, and has won the last eight meetings overall while also winning five consecutive home matchups against Arkansas.
