The Crimson Tide will use the week off to focus on fundamentals and correcting mistakes

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team returned to the field Tuesday afternoon for a two-hour session in shells at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields, completing the first of three workouts during the bye week. The practice focused on fundamental execution and cleaning up mistakes from the Tennessee game.

After a 45-7 victory over rival Tennessee last Saturday, the Crimson Tide will enjoy its first bye weekend of the season. Following the break from play, Alabama will begin preparations for top-25 matchup with LSU. The Crimson Tide and Tigers will meet on Nov. 4 for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game will air live on CBS with the trip of Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Allie LaForce working the broadcast for the second consecutive contest.

Alabama is 52-25-5 all-time against LSU, including a 12-7 mark at home. The Tide has won six consecutive meetings between the two squads dating back to the 2011 BCS National Championship Game. Most recently, Alabama came away with a 10-0 victory in Baton Rouge a season ago.
