Alabama Football Resumes Spring Practice on Monday Afternoon
Crimson Tide holds two-hour workout in shorts and helmets after taking time away for spring break
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team returned from spring break and held its second practice of the spring, working out in shorts and helmets for roughly two hours outdoors on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.
The Crimson Tide is scheduled to put on full pads for the first time this spring when they return to the practice field on Wednesday. Recently, former Alabama running back Derrick Henry was announced as a finalist for the 2016 James E. Sullivan Award. The Sullivan Award is annually given to the nation’s best amateur athlete by the Amateur Athletic Union. Fans are encouraged to vote at http://www.aausullivan.org/Vote through March 23.
Alabama’s 2016 A-Day Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 16, at 2 p.m. CT inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The A-Day Game is once again free to the public.
