The Crimson Tide will practice one more time on Thursday before traveling to Athens 

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team practiced for two hours in full pads Wednesday afternoon on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

The team continued to work on putting together a gameplan to counter a strong Georgia defense in this weekend’s matchup in Athens. The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs are scheduled for a 2:39 p.m. CT kickoff inside Sanford Stadium with the game airing on CBS. Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson will work from the booth with Allie LaForce patrolling the sidelines.

Alabama and Georgia will meet for the 67th time in a series that dates back to 1895. The Crimson Tide owns the all-time series advantage, 37-25-4, and owns a 14-10 advantage when the two teams meet up in Athens. The last matchup on the UGA campus came in 2008, with the Tide earning a 41-30 victory over the Bulldogs. In the most recent matchup, UA claimed its 23rd Southeastern Conference championship with a 32-28 victory in 2012, securing the Tide’s spot in the national championship game.
