TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team worked for two hours in shells (helmets, shoulder pads, shorts) on Friday afternoon in hot and humid conditions on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

The 23rd session of fall camp lasted nearly two hours with the team continuing to drill in preparation for the season opener against the Wisconsin Badgers. The two storied programs will kick off the season in Arlington, Texas, inside AT&T Stadium for the AdvoCare Classic. The Sept. 5 contest is scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff on ABC with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Heather Cox on the call.

Tomorrow’s practice session is set for a 3:30 p.m. CT start before the Crimson Tide takes Sunday off. Following the one-day break, the team will begin its game week schedule of practices before heading to Arlington on Friday afternoon.
