One more full practice remains for the Crimson Tide before the conference opener on Saturday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team continued work in full pads on Wednesday afternoon, practicing for two hours inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
The midweek practice was focused on slowing down an Ole Miss team that has put together 600 yards and scored 70-plus points in both of its games thus far. The Crimson Tide and Rebels will meet for the 63rd time in series history when the game kicks off at 9:15 p.m. CT on ESPN. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Heather Cox will return once again to call the game after also working the season opener against Wisconsin.
Alabama owns the all-time advantage in the series with Ole Miss, 47-10-2 (51-9-2 actual) and is currently riding a 12 game winning streak over the Rebels inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. In the most recent matchup, Ole Miss came away with a 23-17 win in Oxford to break a streak of 10 consecutive wins by the Tide.
