The Crimson Tide will use Friday to travel to Starkville for Saturday’s 2:30 p.m. CT matchup on CBS

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team went through a final practice on Thursday afternoon, working a 90-minute session in shells under the roof of the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility. The practice focused on special teams and put the final touches on a gameplan for the No. 20 Mississippi State Bulldogs.

The two SEC West foes are scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. CT showdown on CBS from inside Davis Wade Stadium with Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Allie LaForce on the call.  Alabama owns the series advantage, 77-18-3, including a 17-4 mark in Starkville. The Tide has won the past seven matchups with the Bulldogs. Most recently, Alabama downed top-ranked Mississippi State, 25-20, in Tuscaloosa at Bryant-Denny Stadium last year. The win was UA’s seventh victory over the nation’s top-ranked team in program history, with four of those victories coming under head coach Nick Saban.

Following this weekend’s matchup with the Bulldogs, Alabama will return to Tuscaloosa and play host to Charleston Southern for what will be the last home game of the season. The Crimson Tide and Buccaneers are scheduled for a 3 p.m. CT kickoff inside Bryant-Denny Stadium with the game airing on the SEC Network. Prior to kickoff, the team will hold a ceremony on the field to honor the seniors playing in front of the home crowd for the final time.
