TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team continued preparation for Saturday’s home game with Colorado State on Tuesday afternoon with a two-hour session in full pads inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
The Crimson Tide focused on making improvements following last Saturday’s home opener against Fresno State. Alabama defeated Colorado State, 31-6, in Tuscaloosa in 2013 in the first ever meeting between the two programs. The Tide and Rams are set to kick off at 6:05 p.m. CT at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game will air live on ESPN 2 with Mark Jones and Rod Gilmore in the booth and Quint Kessenich on the sidelines.
Sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention list, the award’s organizers announced Tuesday afternoon. The Houston, Texas, native produced a career-best 154 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground to mark the fourth 100-yard rushing game of his career. Hurts also added a touchdown through the air while completing 77.8 percent of his passes (14-of-18) for 128 yards and a score.
