The Tide worked for two hours in unseasonal heat

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team put in a two-hour session in full pads in the Wednesday afternoon heat on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields to kick off the official start of Fall.

The team continued its game week schedule, begging to implement a gameplan for ULM this Saturday, Sept. 26 inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Crimson Tide and Warhawks are scheduled for a 3:01 p.m. CT kickoff on the SEC Network with Dave Neal and Matt Stinchcomb in the booth, while Kayce Smith works the sidelines. The out-of-conference matchup will end the Tide’s current three-game homestand and is the third of four non-conference opponents UA will face this season.

Alabama and ULM have met just twice in the history of the series, with the Warhawks owning the official all-time advantage, 1-0. The first matchup came in 2006, as the Crimson Tide came away with a 41-7 win that was later vacated by an NCAA ruling. The two teams squared off the very next season, with Louisiana-Monroe earning the 21-14 victory over Alabama in head coach Nick Saban’s first season in Tuscaloosa.
