Crimson Tide taking on a Mid-American Conference foe for just the second time under Nick Saban

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After a day off on Monday, the University of Alabama football team was back to work in full pads Tuesday afternoon during a two-hour practice at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields in preparation for Saturday’s home game with Kent State.

The Crimson Tide and Golden Flashes will meet for just the second time in series history. The Tide defeated the Kent State, 48-7, in Tuscaloosa in the 2011 season opener for both teams. Head coach Nick Saban is 2-0 vs. his alma mater. In 1990, his Toledo team defeated Kent State, 24-14, in Mid-American Conference play. Saban is 14-1 in his career against current members of the MAC.

Alabama and Kent State are set to kick off at 11:01 a.m. CT at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game will air on the SEC Network with Tom Hart and Andre Ware in the booth and Cole Cubelic on the sidelines.
