MFBRoughly 1,000 high school coaches on hand for the coaching clinic; SEC Network finalizes television coverage for spring game

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team held a two-hour practice session at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility Friday in full pads in front of over a 1,000 high school coaches from around the region.

The 2015 Clinic of Champions, hosted by Nick Saban, features former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher, Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett, Houston Cougars head coach Tom Herman and former NFL offensive coordinator Tom Moore along with several others.

Alabama’s practice week will wrap up on Saturday at 1:15 p.m. with the squads fifth practice of the spring. Alabama’s 2015 Golden Flake A-Day Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m. (CDT) inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The A-Day Game is once again free to the public.

The SEC Network also announced television coverage for spring games across the league on Friday. The Golden Flake A-Day Game will be carried on SE Network +, which is the online digital platform for the SEC Network. Each spring game will have multiple airings in its entirety during the week on SEC Network, with A-Day’s first airing slated for 5 p.m. on April 18.

The SEC Network Alternate channel will also carry whip-around coverage between the four games played on April 18 (Alabama, Mississippi State, LSU and Auburn). Joe Tessitore will handle the play-by-play duties on SEC Network + with Greg McElroy as the analyst and Shannon Spake reporting from the sidelines.
