Two players apiece on offense, defense and special teams earned recognition from the Tide coaches
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama coaches named six players of the week following the Crimson Tide’s 48-17 win at Tennessee last Saturday. Landon Dickerson and Mac Jones on offense; Christian Harris and Malachi Moore on defense; and Will Reichard and Drew Sanders on special teams all earned the recognition for their efforts against the Volunteers in Knoxville.
OFFENSE
Landon Dickerson
- Anchored the Crimson Tide offensive line that blocked for 587 yards of total offense, including 170 yards and five touchdowns on the ground
- Did not allow a sack or quarterback pressure against one of the conference’s top defenses
- Finished at 100 percent on his assignments and did not commit a penalty against the Vols
Mac Jones
- Completed 80.6 percent of his passes thanks to a 25-of-31 day
- Totaled 387 yards through the air to record his fourth straight game with at least 380 yards passing
- Registered 10 explosive plays of 15 yards or more, including four completions of 25-plus yards
- Began the game 11-of-11 passing after finishing with eight straight completions the week prior to set the Alabama consecutive completions record
- Added one rushing touchdown as he crossed the goal line from one yard out
DEFENSE

Christian Harris
- Led the Crimson Tide defense in tackles with 10, including one tackle for loss (-1 yard)
- Credited with two passes defended by the UA coaches while helping limit the Vols to just 162 yards passing in the game
Malachi Moore
- Scored his first career touchdown after stripping the UT running back on third down, returning the fumble 28 yards early in the third quarter
- Added two tackles, including one for loss (-2 yards), while breaking up one pass
- Recorded a turnover in three of the Tide’s five games so far this season
SPECIAL TEAMS
Will Reichard
- Accounted for 12 points, going 6-for-6 on PAT attempts and hitting both his field goals
- Connected from 39 and 24 yards on his three-point kicks
- Added nine kickoffs for 515 total yards with three touchbacks
Drew Sanders
- Helped limit the Vols to 33 yards on kickoff returns for the day
- Made one tackle on kickoff coverage after a six-yard return to put the Vols deep in their own territory
