One on offense, two on defense and three on special teams were recognized

 

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama coaching staff selected six players of the week following the Crimson Tide’s top-15 matchup with then-No. 11/10 Texas last Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kobe Prentice on offense; Deontae Lawson and Malachi Moore on defense; and James Burnip, Kendrick Law and Will Reichard on special teams were all named for their efforts against the Longhorns.

 

OFFENSE

Kobe Prentice

  • Caught five of his six targets for a team-leading 68 yards receiving
  • Converted three first downs with a long reception of 28 on the night

 

DEFENSE

Malachi Moore

  • Recorded five tackles and added one pass breakup in his start

 

Deontae Lawson

  • Finished second on the Tide defense with eight total tackles

 

SPECIAL TEAMS

James Burnip

  • Accumulated 263 yards on five punts against the Longhorns
  • Averaged 52.6 yards per boot with a career-long 61-yard punt
  • Pinned the Longhorn offense inside the 20 on three of his kicks

 

Kendrick Law

  • Returned one kickoff for a gain of 18 yards
  • Also contributed on the Tide’s coverage units

 

Will Reichard

  • Finished with 11 points on the night, converting three field goals to go with a pair of PATs
  • Hit on his three-point tries from 42, 30 and a season-long 51 yards
  • Added five kickoffs for a combined 325 yards with four touchbacks
