One on offense, two on defense and three on special teams were recognized
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama coaching staff selected six players of the week following the Crimson Tide’s top-15 matchup with then-No. 11/10 Texas last Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kobe Prentice on offense; Deontae Lawson and Malachi Moore on defense; and James Burnip, Kendrick Law and Will Reichard on special teams were all named for their efforts against the Longhorns.
OFFENSE
Kobe Prentice
- Caught five of his six targets for a team-leading 68 yards receiving
- Converted three first downs with a long reception of 28 on the night
DEFENSE
Malachi Moore
- Recorded five tackles and added one pass breakup in his start
Deontae Lawson
- Finished second on the Tide defense with eight total tackles
SPECIAL TEAMS
James Burnip
- Accumulated 263 yards on five punts against the Longhorns
- Averaged 52.6 yards per boot with a career-long 61-yard punt
- Pinned the Longhorn offense inside the 20 on three of his kicks
Kendrick Law
- Returned one kickoff for a gain of 18 yards
- Also contributed on the Tide’s coverage units
Will Reichard
- Finished with 11 points on the night, converting three field goals to go with a pair of PATs
- Hit on his three-point tries from 42, 30 and a season-long 51 yards
- Added five kickoffs for a combined 325 yards with four touchbacks
