The Sept. 24 matchup will be the second meeting between the Crimson Tide and Golden Flashes
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Kickoff for the Sept. 24 matchup between Alabama and Kent State is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT on SEC Network, the SEC office announced on Monday morning.
The Crimson Tide and Golden Flashses will meet for the second time in series history, with UA claiming the 48-7 win in the only previous matchup between the two schools on Sept. 3, 2011. That game was Alabama’s home and season opener on the way to the program’s second national championship under head coach Nick Saban.
Saban is an alumnus of Kent State, graduating from the school in 1973 with his bachelor’s degree in business and then earning his master’s in sports administration in 1975.
